The game shows him using a plasma sniper rifle and a flail (similar to the one Megatron has) that he didn't use in the film itself. He is not unlocked throughout the remaining missions, but is likely to have successfully ruled Earth with Megatron and his comrades. He is deployed to Shanghai to assault the Autobots there, which he successfully completes. In the Decepticon campaign, he is one of the main characters, along with Megatron, Starscream, Long Haul and Grindor. Sideways then falls off the building the two fought on, killing him. In the Autobot campaign, he's deployed to Shanghai and fights Ironhide, but is easily defeated. He is playable in both campaign and multiplayer modes. In the PS3, XBOX360 and Windows version of the game, Sideways' importance in the game is greatly increased, due to the fact that he is one of the main Decepticon characters.
Sideways is among the playable characters in the 2009 Revenge of the Fallen video game by Activision.
